This software provides support for the Tag Image File Format (TIFF),
a widely used format for storing image data.
Included in this software distribution is a library, libtiff, for
reading and writing TIFF, a small collection of tools for doing
simple manipulations of TIFF images on UNIX systems, and documentation
on the library and tools. A small assortment of TIFF-related software
for UNIX that has been contributed by others is also included.
The library is capable of dealing with images that are written to
follow the 5.0 or 6.0 TIFF spec. There is also considerable support
for some of the more esoteric portions of the 6.0 TIFF spec.
Unless NOPORTDOCS is defined, the html documentations is also
installed locally in /usr/local/share/doc/tiff.

Tulip software is a system dedicated to the visualization of huge
graphs. It manages graphs with a number of elements(node and edges) up
to 500.000 on a personal computer(PIII 600, with 256mo). Its SuperGraph
technology architecture enables to do the following things :
* 3D visualizations
* 3D modifications
* Plug-in support for easy evolution
* Building of clusters and navigation into it
* Automatic drawing of graphs
* Automatic clustering of graphs
* Automatic selection of elements
* Automatic Metric coloration of graphs
This is Viewnior, an image viewer program. Created to be simple, fast
and elegant. It's minimalistic interface provides more screenspace for
your images. Among its features are:
Fullscreen & Slideshow
Rotate, flip, crop, save, delete images
Animation support
Browse only selected images
Navigation window
Set image as wallpaper (GNOME2, GNOME3, XFCE, LXDE, FluxBox, Nitrogen)
Simple interface
Configurable mouse actions
Viewnior is insipred by big projects like Eye of Gnome, because of it's
usability and richness,and by GPicView, because of it's lightweight design
and minimal interface. So here comes Viewnior - small and light,
with no compromise with the quality of it's functions.
The program is made with better integration in mind (follows Gnome HIG2)
VIGRA stands for "Vision with Generic Algorithms". It's a novel computer
vision library that puts its main emphasize on customizable algorithms
and data structures. By using template techniques similar to those in
the C++ Standard Template Library, you can easily adapt any VIGRA
component to the needs of your application, without thereby giving up
execution speed.
Visprint makes fractal fingerprint png images based on the contents of any
file. The image will be different for almost every file with even slightly
different contents. Visprint uses the IFS fractal generation process,
pioneered by Michael Barnsley. It is a way to create images which are
self-similar to infinite depths. In other words, the picture is made up of
smaller versions of itself.
Waffle is a cross-platform C library that allows one to defer selection
of an OpenGL API and window system until runtime. For example, on Linux,
Waffle enables an application to select X11/EGL with an OpenGL 3.3
core profile, Wayland with OpenGL ES2, and other window system / API
combinations.
Waffle's immediate goal is to enable Piglit, Mesa's OpenGL test suite,
to test multiple OpenGL flavors in a cross-platform way. However,
Waffle's design does not preclude it from being useful to other
projects.
Xcftools is a set of fast command-line tools for extracting information
from the Gimp's native file format XCF. The tools are designed to allow
efficient use of layered XCF files as sources in a build system that use
'make' and similar tools to manage automatic processing of the graphics.
These tools work independently of the Gimp engine and do not require the
Gimp to even be installed.
Apache XML Graphics Commons is a library that consists of several reusable
components used by Apache Batik and Apache FOP. Many of these components can
easily be used separately outside the domains of SVG and XSL-FO. You will
find components such as a PDF library, an RTF library, Graphics2D
implementations that let you generate PDF & PostScript files, and much more.
XPaint is a color image editing tool which features most standard paint
program options. It allows for the editing of multiple images simultaneously
and supports various formats, including PPM, XBM, TIFF, etc.
