A collection of Indic fonts by the Lohit project.
The package supports most Indian languages:

This project aims to provide a set of free outline (PostScript Type0, TrueType,
OpenType...) fonts covering the ISO 10646/Unicode UCS (Universal Character Set).

Hasklig is a Haskell code font with monospaced ligatures based on Source Code
Pro font. It adds nice representations of such operators like (->), (>>=),
(-<) and so on.

Note: The port x11-fonts/fonts-indic is a collection of Indic font by the
Lohit project and installs a font subset of this port, the Lohit family;
but, although the origin of fonts is the same, the Lohit project, that
distfile is maintained by Gentoo people, and have different revisions.
You can install merely also that port and, if, for any reasons, you want
to use a particular font set, you have to change the loading priority in
your configuration files.
NeXFontSel is a improve version of xfontsel. NeXFontSel has these
advantage from standerd xfontsel.
