KColorEdit is a palette files editor. It can be used for editing
color palettes and for color choosing and naming.
These plugins allow Strigi desktop search to extract additional
information about Mobipocket files. Additionally they allow the
Dolphin file manager to create thumbnails for this file format and
Okular to display the files.
Exiv2 is a C++ library and a command line utility to manage image metadata.
It provides fast and easy read and write access to the Exif, IPTC, and XMP
metadata of images in various formats. Exiv2 is available as free software
and with a commercial license, and is used in many projects.
Plug-in for the Gwenview image viewer and other KDE applications
allowing the SVG renderer to be used to render SVG images.
Figurine is an X11 program for editing vector graphic figures and
diagrams. It uses the xfig FIG3.2 format.
Figurine is intended to be considerably easier to use than xfig,
but providing a similar set of features.
Fractal Flames are algorithmically generated images
and animations. The shape of each image is specified
by a long string of numbers - a genetic code of sorts.
You can create your own flames with the Apophysis
interactive designer (for windows), Qosmic (for Linux),
or Oxidizer (for Mac OS X), or Apophysis-J (cross-
platform in Java).
Or you can use the Electric Sheep distributed screen
saver to join the collective evolution of animated
fractal flames.
DynaMechs (Dynamics of Mechanisms)
A Multibody Dynamics Simulation Library
This is a set of cross-platform C++ libraries licensed under the Gnu's GPL
(see LICENSE) which implements dynamic simulation functionality for multibody
systems. It currently supports all tree structured mechanism, a class of
closed chain mechanisms as well. It has provisions for generating both
single and double precision version, and there is code for simplified
hydrodynamic simulation.
This work is an extension of my Ph.D. dissertation, "Computational Dynamics
for Robotic Systems on Land and Underwater," The Ohio State University, 1994,
and continued at the Naval Postgraduate School.
The closed chain work is derived from Duane Marhefka's Ph.D. dissertation,
"Fuzzy Control and Dynamic Simulation of a Quadruped Galloping Machine," The
Ohio State University, 2000.

Image files for background of Eterm
First you install Eterm and try to run:
% Eterm
(Choose "Eterm -> Background -> Pixmap -> Scaled -> Before the Storm")
or
% Esetroot -scale /usr/X11R6/share/Eterm/bg/scale/before_the_storm.jpg
% Eterm --trans --shade 40
Fraqtive is a program for drawing Mandelbrot and Julia fractals. It uses a
very fast algorithm and generates high quality, smooth images. It is fully
interactive, allowing for real-time mouse navigation and dynamic generation
of the Julia fractal preview. OpenGL-rendered 3D view of the fractals is
also supported.
freeglut is a completely OpenSourced alternative to the OpenGL Utility
Toolkit (GLUT) library. GLUT was originally written by Mark Kilgard to
support the sample programs in the second edition OpenGL 'RedBook'.
Since then, GLUT has been used in a wide variety of practical applications
because it is simple, universally available and highly portable.
GLUT (and hence freeglut) allows the user to create and manage windows
containing OpenGL contexts on a wide range of platforms and also read the
mouse, keyboard and joystick functions.
freeglut is released under the X-Consortium license.
