This port installs the prerequisites for Mathworks (r) Matlab for Linux
and an installer script (matlab-installer), which automates the somewhat
tricky process of installing Linux Matlab.
Installing Matlab requires Matlab installation media and a license file and
installation key from Mathworks, Inc.
GiNaC is an iterated and recursive acronym for GiNaC is Not a CAS,
where CAS stands for Computer Algebra System. It is designed to allow
the creation of integrated systems that embed symbolic manipulations
together with more established areas of computer science (like
computation-intense numeric applications, graphical interfaces, etc.)
under one roof.
GRPN is a RPN calculator for the X Window system built using
the GIMP Toolkit (GTK).
GRPN works with real numbers, complex numbers, matrices, and
complex matrices. Numbers can be displayed in 4 different
radix modes, and complex numbers can be displayed in either
Cartesian or polar form.
Estimation and inference methods for models of conditional quantiles:
Linear and nonlinear parametric and non-parametric (total variation
penalized) models for conditional quantiles of a univariate response
and several methods for handling censored survival data. Portfolio
selection methods based on expected shortfall risk are also included.
This is the standalone math library from R -- a language
and environment for statistical computing and graphics.
See ports/math/R.
To use the routines in your own C or C++ programs, include
#define MATHLIB_STANDALONE
#include <Rmath.h>
and link against -lRmath.
This is a collection of stopgap replacements for standard math
functions missing from libm in various supported versions of
FreeBSD. The functions are slower than the existing libm
functions, but are more accurate than many naive replacements.
Exceptions are largely ignored. N. Beebe's extended C version
of the ELEFUNT package is used to provide regression tests for
some of the real-valued functions.
The package is intended for scientists and engineers who need to manipulate
a variety of types of matrices using standard matrix operations. Emphasis is
on the kind of operations needed in statistical calculations such as least
squares, linear equation solve and eigenvalues.
Mathomatic is a highly portable, general purpose CAS (Computer Algebra System).
Mathomatic can:
* Solve, simplify, and compare algebraic equations,
* Perform calculus transformations,
* Help with finite series analysis,
* Perform complex number and polynomial arithmetic,
* Generate efficient C or Java code from equations.
METIS is a set of serial programs for partitioning graphs,
partitioning finite element meshes, and producing fill-reducing
orderings for sparse matrices. The algorithms implemented in METIS are
based on the multilevel recursive-bisection, multilevel k-way, and
multi-constraint partitioning schemes developed in our lab.
METIS provides high-quality partitions, is extremely fast, and
produces low-fill orderings.
