The Cyrus IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) server provides access to personal mail and system-wide bulletin boards through the IMAP protocol. The Cyrus IMAP server is a scaleable enterprise mail system designed for use from small to large enterprise environments using standards-based technologies. A full Cyrus IMAP implementation allows a seamless mail and bulletin board environment to be set up across multiple servers. It differs from other IMAP server implementations in that it is run on "sealed" servers, where users are not normally permitted to log in. The mailbox database is stored in parts of the filesystem that are private to the Cyrus IMAP system. All user access to mail is through software using the IMAP, POP3, or KPOP protocols. The private mailbox database design gives the server large advantages in efficiency, scalability, and administratability. Multiple concurrent read/write connections to the same mailbox are permitted. The server supports access control lists on mailboxes and storage quotas on mailbox hierarchies.

queue_repair features include: - automatic, dynamic determination of UIDs and GIDs. - automatic, dynamic determination of conf-split; can be overridden on the commandline to change the conf-split of an existing queue without running a parallel, temporary instance of qmail for queuelifetime. Just recompile and stop qmail, run queue-repair, and restart qmail. - automatic, dynamic determination of use of big-todo; can be overridden on the commandline to change an existing queue as above. - handles basic tasks like fixing a queue restored from backups, incorrect ownership or permissions of directories and files, missing or extra split subdirectories, unexpected files or other direntries, or creating a valid queue from scratch. - can run in repair or test (report-only) modes. The default is test mode.

Fetchmail is a full-featured IMAP/POP2/POP3/APOP/KPOP/ETRN/ODMR client with easy configuration, daemon mode, forwarding via SMTP or local MDA, and superior reply handling. It is used to handle intermittent email connections by acting as a coupling that seamlessly batch forwards fetched mail from your mail server to your local delivery system, allowing you to read it with your favourite mail user agent. Fetchmail also includes useful spam filtering and multi-user functions. A typical use of fetchmail is to connect to your ISP's POP3 server, downloading your mail into the INBOX on your local computer. You may then read the mail, offline if you want, using pine, mutt, or any standard mail user agent.

Xlbiff lets you preview new mail to decide if you want to read it immediately. Regular xbiff lets you know when you have mail but not what it is. Xlbiff lurks in the background, monitoring your mailbox file. When something shows up there, it invokes the scanCommand (MH's scan by default), and displays the output in a window. If more mail comes in, it scans again and resizes accordingly. If you're a Berkeley mail person, you can set scanCommand to: echo x | mail | grep "^.[NU]" Or use the ``frm'' utility that is part of the Elm port as your scanCommand. A simular utility is the ``fromwho'' package, posted to comp.sources.unix volume 25.

vqadmin is a web based cgi program. It allows system administrators to perform actions which require root access. The cgi is authenticated using Apache style htpasswd files. Root access is required for adding and deleting domains. A user based ACL provides control over what actions can be performed, such as adding/deleting a domain. Accessing user email account information to allow modification of user passwords and quota's. Account service restrictions include enabling or disabling of pop access, authentication based smtp relay control, courier-imap access and sqwebmail access. vqadmin and qmailadmin can work together. qmailadmin can be used to allow users to administer thier own domains but not create new domains. Creation or deletion of domains is normally associated with the owner/admin's of the machine. vqadmin is for onwer/admin's or their technical support staff. Features . The SDPA (SemiDefinite Programming Algorithm) is a software package for solving semidefinite program (SDP). It is based on a Mehrotra-type predictor-corrector infeasible primal-dual interior-point method. The SDPA handles the standard form SDP and its dual. It is implemented in C++ language utilizing the LAPACK for matrix computation. The SDPA incorporates dynamic memory allocation and deallocation. So, the maximum size of an SDP to be solved depends on the size of memory which users' computers install. The SDPA enjoys the following features: 1. Callable library of the SDPA is available. 2. Efficient method for computing the search directions when an SDP to be solved is large scale and sparse. 3. Block diagonal matrix structure and sparse matrix structure in data matrices are available. 4. Some information on infeasibility of a semidefinite program to be solved is provided.
