Beets is the media library management system for
obsessive-compulsive music geeks.
MP is a module player using libmikmod. It is able to play 18 module formats,
such as MOD, XM, S3M, and IT.
MP features real volume gauges, sound effects control, various options,
easy-to-manage playing lists, and more.
A perl script to convert MP3 files to Ogg Vorbis files, retaining ID3
information, bitrate, and optionally renaming the output files, as well
as deleting the originals.
THIS DEGRADES THE QUALITY, because it goes from one lossy format to
another.
MP3c is a cd to mp3c converter with a console frontend
Mp3check is a tool for checking and fixing mp3 archive
inconsistencies:
- Filenames (too long, spaces, weird characters, ...)
- Redundant play lists
- ID3 tags
- Broken mp3 files
- and more..
This is a command-line utility which tries to determine the encoder used to
create an mp3 file.
Each encoder has unique characteristics fingerprinted into each file. This
program analyzes algorithms that are used in any given file and determines which
encoder was used. For example the Xing encoder never uses short blocks.
KStreamRipper is a program for recording Internet radios and other
streams. For streams that provide information about the song title,
it can split the stream and create an own file for each track with
a corresponding file name and corresponding metadata.
Rename mp3s and manipulate them.
mp3plot prints out a plot of the bitrate distribution of a VBR MP3 file
(it will also do it for CBR files although it isn't very meaningful).
This program renames mp3's based on their id3tag,
it also allows to change id3tags and you can specify
your own mp3 filename look.
