The Open Scene Graph is a cross-platform C++ OpenGL library for the
real-time, photo-realistic rendering of large 3D models. Uses range from
visual simulation, to scientific modelling, to games, to whatever you can
think of!
libiptcdata is a library, written in C, for manipulating the International
Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC) metadata stored within multimedia files
such as images. This metadata can include captions and keywords, often used by
popular photo management applications. The library provides routines for
parsing, viewing, modifying, and saving this metadata. The libiptcdata
package also includes a command-line utility, iptc, for editing IPTC data in
JPEG files.
This is the libjpeg-turbo library.
libjpeg-turbo is a high-speed version of libjpeg for x86 and x86-64 processors
which uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, etc.) to accelerate baseline JPEG
compression and decompression.
libjpeg-turbo is generally 2-4x as fast as the unmodified version
of libjpeg, all else being equal.
libjpeg-turbo was originally based on libjpeg/SIMD by Miyasaka Masaru,
but the TigerVNC and VirtualGL projects made numerous enhancements to the codec,
including improved support for Mac OS X, 64-bit support,
support for 32-bit and big endian pixel formats (RGBA, ABGR, etc.),
accelerated Huffman encoding/decoding, and various bug fixes.
The goal was to produce a fully open source codec that could replace
the partially closed source TurboJPEG/IPP codec used by VirtualGL and TurboVNC.
libjpeg-turbo generally achieves 80-120% of the performance of TurboJPEG/IPP.
It is faster in some areas but slower in others.
Libnsbmp is a decoding library for BMP and ICO image file formats, written
in C.
It was developed as part of the NetSurf project.
Libnsgif is a decoding library for the GIF image file format, written in C.
It was developed as part of the NetSurf project.
libopenraw is an ongoing project to provide a free software implementation for
camera RAW files decoding. One of the main reason is that dcraw is not suited
for easy integration into applications, and there is a need for an easy to use
API to build free software digital image processing application.
Copperspice is a C++ library derived from the existing Qt 4.8 framework.
The goal was to change the core design of the libraries, leveraging
template functionality and C++11 capabilities.
The redesign allowed the Qt Meta-Object Compiler (moc) system to be
completely removed. Moc is a code generator and does not support many
aspects of C++ including templates, complex data types, static type
checking, and relies heavily on string comparisons. Removing moc improves
runtime performance, reduces the complexity of the build process, and
allows more issues to be detected at compile time.

This is the pano13 library, part of the Panorama Tools by Helmut
Dersch of the University of Applied Sciences Furtwangen.
Also included with the library are:
- PTOptimizer, a command-line tool for optimizing control points.
- panoinfo, a command-line tool for querying the library version.
The panorama tools are mainly used to build panoramic images from a set of
overlapping images. The usability extends beyond "just" building panoramas by
far though. You can, for instance, use them to render an average of multiple
images to broaden the dynamic range of the images or average out noise. You
can also build object movies with them, morph between images and much more.
This is a tiny library for decoding PhotoCD images. Its not exactly
new, it exists for years. I've just released it separately for the
first time now. It used to come bundled with xpcd.
