freeglut is a completely OpenSourced alternative to the OpenGL Utility
Toolkit (GLUT) library. GLUT was originally written by Mark Kilgard to
support the sample programs in the second edition OpenGL 'RedBook'.
Since then, GLUT has been used in a wide variety of practical applications
because it is simple, universally available and highly portable.
GLUT (and hence freeglut) allows the user to create and manage windows
containing OpenGL contexts on a wide range of platforms and also read the
mouse, keyboard and joystick functions.
freeglut is released under the X-Consortium license.
FreeImage is an open source library project for developers who would like to
support popular graphics image formats like PNG, BMP, JPEG, TIFF, and others
as needed by today's multimedia applications. FreeImage is easy to use,
fast, multithreading safe, and cross-platform. This port includes both the
original C interface and the C++ wrapper FreeImagePlus.
Command line assembler/disassembler of flash actionscript bytecode.
GeoAPI provides a set of interfaces from OpenGIS specifications. The development
community in building GIS solutions is sustaining an enormous level of effort.
The GeoAPI project aims to reduce duplication and increase interoperability by
providing neutral, interface-only APIs derived from OGC/ISO Standards.
Geomorph is a height field generator and editor for the Linux
operating system.
A height field is a kind of topographic map. It is a 2D projection
of a 3D landscape.
Geomorph generates square images and shows a 3D preview of the
resulting landscape. The resulting 2D image can be processed with
a tool like Povray for rendering the landscape.
GImageView is a GTK+ based image viewer.
It supports tabbed browsing, thumbnail table views, directory tree views,
drag and drop, reading thumbnail cache of other famous image viewers,
and a flexible user interface.
Gcolor is a very simple color picker that can be used to
pick precise colors. It was inspired as a replacement for
xcolorsel that offers a wider band of colors to pick from.
Gcolor2 is a simple, standalone GTK+ 2.0 color selector.

During image processing operations such as scanning and scaling,
images tend to get blurry.
The blurred impression of these images is due to the fact that image
pixels are averaged with their neighbors. Blurred images don't have
sharp boundaries and look as though they have been taken with an
unfocussed camera.
Refocus is a GIMP plug-in to "refocus" the image, using a technique
called FIR Wiener filtering. The traditional technique for sharpening
images is to use unsharp masking. Refocus generally produces better
results than unsharp masking.
The plugin can be found under "Filters > Enhance > Refocus"
