Ayttm is an instant messaging (aka chat) client that provides all-in-one
chat functionality for several major instant messaging services from one
simple program. Ayttm "Contacts" allow you to refer to several accounts of
the same person from a single contact name, making it one of the cleanest
and simplest clients to use.
CJC is a Jabber/XMPP client for text terminals. It uses pyxmpp
library for XMPP comunication and curses for screen output. It
is not finished yet, but still quite usable. Its user interface
is resembling those of popular IRC clients like irssi or BitchX.
Coccinella is a Jabber chat client with whiteboard communication. The
whiteboard let you share your mp3s, photos, and lots of other stuff.
Further it accepts any fonts. So you will also be able to share mathematical
formulas with your contacts.
Cutegram is a free and opensource telegram clients for Linux, Windows, OS X and
OpenBSD, focusing on user friendly, compatibility with desktop environments.
Cutegram using Qt5, QML, libqtelegram, libappindication, AsemanQtTools
technologies and Faenza icons and Twitter emojies graphic sets. It's free and
released under GPLv3 license.
libfolks is a library that aggregates people from multiple sources
(eg, Telepathy connection managers and eventually evolution data server,
Facebook, etc.) to create metacontacts. It's written in Vala (in part to
evaluate Vala). The initial goal is for GObject/C support, though the Vala
bindings should basically automatic.
Python ICQ-Transport for Jabber.
The purpose of this transport is to provide a way for users to be logged into
ICQ via their Jabber account. It is implemented in Python, using the Twisted
framework. This project is just getting off the ground, and so it does not have
quite the functionality of other transports yet. That will come in time.
Privacy please is a pidgin plugin to stop spammers from annoying you.
It currently offers the following features:
* Block individual users (with an optional auto-reply)
* Block messages from people who are not on your contact list
(with an optional auto-reply)
* Suppress repeated authorization requests
This plugin was formerly known as gaim-blocky.
Instantbird is a cross-platform instant messaging client based on
Mozilla's XULRunner and the open source library libpurple used in
Pidgin. Instantbird is free software available under the GNU General
Public License. Over 250 add-ons allow user customization of, and

This is a small licq-plugin, which uses libxosd2 to display new arriving
messages as OSD (On Screen Display) text on your desktop. I wrote this, as I
saw this feature in sim and wanted to have the same functionality in licq.

Psi is a client for the Jabber system. Written in C++ and based on the
Qt library, there are versions available for Linux, FreeBSD (and other
flavors of Unix/X11), Microsoft Windows, and Apple MacOS X.
It does not require KDE to run.
