The appres program prints the resources seen by an application (or
subhierarchy of an application) with the specified class and instance
names. It can be used to determine which resources a particular
program will load.
Hotwire is an object-oriented hypershell. It is a shell
designed for systems programming (files, processes), and
thus it is in the same conceptual category of software as
the Unix shell+terminal and Windows PowerShell.
xbanish hides the mouse cursor when you start typing, and shows it
again when the mouse cursor moves or a mouse button is pressed. This
is similar to xterm's pointerMode setting, but xbanish works globally
in the X11 session.
evilvte is a terminal emulator. It supports almost everything VTE provides.
It also supports tabs, tabbar autohide, and switch encoding at runtime.

KGamma is a KDE control center module for gamma calibration/correction

The libXcm library is colour management helper for Xorg. It contains
a reference implementation of the X Color Management specification.
It allows to attach colour regions to X windows to communicate with
colour servers.

xkbcommon is a library to handle keyboard descriptions, including loading them

SimDock is a fast and customizable dockbar. It is written in c++ and wxWidgets
and fits well in Gnome but works on most desktop environments. Does not require
Compiz nor 3D acceleration.
Thingylaunch is a lightweight and fast application launcher for X.
Based on the original thinglaunch by Matt Johnston, it is enhanced
with navigation keys, history, bookmarks and tab-completion.
