Some of the modules in Tcllib have C-implementations, which are
considerably faster than the pure-Tcl ones.
This port adds tcllibc, which contains all such available C-versions
of Tcllib's modules.
Xplanet was inspired by Xearth, which renders an image of the earth into the X
root window. Xplanet uses the Imlib library to read user supplied maps of the
earth (or another planet). Orthographic and Mercator projections can be
rendered to the root window or saved to a file. An image that the user can
rotate interactively can be popped up in a window using OpenGL or Mesa.
MuSE is an application for the mixing, encoding, and network streaming of
sound. MuSE can simultaneously mix up to 6 encoded audio bitstreams (from
files or network) plus a sound card input signal. The resulting stream can
be played locally on the sound card and/or encoded as an mp3 bitstream sent
to a broadcast server. MuSE offers an intuitive interface to be operated
realtime and can run in "slick" mode from command line.
GHDL is the leading VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL) simulator.
Digital and mixed-signal systems such as field-programmable gate arrays
and integrated circuits can be described by VHDL, and VHDL can also be
used as a general purpose parallel programming language. GHDL compiles
VHDL files and creates a binary which simulates the design.
GHDL fully supports IEEE 1076-1987, IEEE 1-76-1993, IEEE 1076-2002
versions of VHDL, and partially IEEE 1076-2008.
AnyEvent::CouchDB is a non-blocking CouchDB client implemented on top of the
AnyEvent framework. Using this library will give you the ability to run many
CouchDB requests asynchronously, and it was intended to be used within a
Coro+AnyEvent environment. However, it can also be used synchronously if you
want.
Its API is based on jquery.couch.js, but we've adapted the API slightly so that
it makes sense in an asynchronous Perl environment.
