Virtual Distributed Ethernet is a user-mode virtual network (layer 2) infrastructure. It can be used for network simulations, joining multiple qemu instances together in a shared virtual network, or tunneling over the Internet. Physical hosts can be joined to the virtual network by means of the tap(4) driver.

SMCRoute is a command line tool to manipulate the multicast routes of a UNIX kernel. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 multicast routing. SMCRoute can be used as an alternative to dynamic multicast routers like mrouted or pimd in setups where static multicast routes should be maintained and/or no proper IGMP or MLD signaling exists.

Haval is a variable-length, variable-round one-way hash function designed by Yuliang Zheng, Josef Pieprzyk, and Jennifer Seberry. The number of rounds can be 3, 4, or 5, while the hash length can be 128, 160, 192, 224, or 256 bits. Thus, there are a total of 15 different outputs. For better security, however, this module implements the 5-round, 256-bit output.

The btsixad daemon allows the PlayStation 3 Sixaxis gamepad to be used wirelessly over Bluetooth. When a gamepad is connected, the daemon cre- ates a virtual USB HID device named btsixa*. This can be symlinked to uhid* and used like an ordinary USB joystick or gamepad by SDL and other programs.

When the system first boots, resize the (GPT) partition holding the root filesystem, then resize the (UFS) root filesystem. This is intended to be used in virtual machines where a VM image is built with one size but may be launched onto a larger disk.

html2fo is a converter from html to xsl:fo. The html code could be written with StarOffice or other WYSIWYM editors and must not be 100% valid html code. html2fo is designed to produce a valid xsl:fo for using FOP from Apache.

This a BSD-licensed version of the well-known sort utility that has been rewritten from scratch by Gabor Kovesdan <gabor@FreeBSD.org> and later developed by Oleg Moskalenko <oleg.moskalenko@citrix.com>. This implementation is meant to be a replacement of GNU sort for FreeBSD. Currently, it seems to be quite feature-complete but performance needs some improvements.

InFormEnter adds a small, clickable icon next to every input field in a web form, from where you can select the item to be inserted - no typing required. You can configure it to display your frequently used information such as name, email, address and whatever else you want to be available from the form menu.

X11::Protocol is a perl module that provides an interface that is roughly equivalent to Xlib. Its low-level approach is intentional as the author is working on a higher-level interface that will be more object-oriented and easier to use, so as to allow this low level access to eventually be replaced by an XS interface to Xlib.
