Mesh viewer
The Mesh Viewer is an easy to use lightweight application to display triangular meshes from a variety of file formats. It uses the OpenGL API to render the models. The program was born under the need for quickly displaying reconstructed triangulated meshes. The Mesh Viewer based on an idea and an early elementary implementation from Craig Robertson. The current version was developed by Helmut Cantzler. Triangular meshes can be displayed texture mapped (optional with bilinear filtering), solid or as a skeleton (full or just the front lines). The surface normals of the triangles can be displayed optionally. Features (from a different data file) like edges and points can be displayed into the mesh. Loaded models can be rotated, translated and scaled (all done with the mouse). The model is lighted by multiple light sources. Viewpoints can be saved. Screenshots of the model can be taken (as BMP, JPEG, PNG and so on).

Remote control utility for Canon DSLR cameras
Multican is Canon EOS cameras USB remote control utility for 300D, 350D, 30D, 20D, and 5D. Multican allows scripted remote control of multiple cameras; it is possible to control up to six cameras attached at the same time. Multican communicates with camera directly, without generic library such as provided by gPhoto2, and currently has no GUI, which makes it no replacement for Canon's EOS Utility, but it can be useful nonetheless in various setups, e.g. for astrophotography.

Research-oriented physically based rendering system
Mitsuba is a research-oriented rendering system in the style of PBRT, from which it derives much inspiration. It is written in portable C++, implements unbiased as well as biased techniques, and contains heavy optimizations targeted towards current CPU architectures. Mitsuba is extremely modular: it consists of a small set of core libraries and over 100 different plugins that implement functionality ranging from materials and light sources to complete rendering algorithms. In comparison to other open source renderers, Mitsuba places a strong emphasis on experimental rendering techniques, such as path-based formulations of Metropolis Light Transport and volumetric modeling approaches. Thus, it may be of genuine interest to those who would like to experiment with such techniques that haven't yet found their way into mainstream renderers, and it also provides a solid foundation for research in this domain. Mitsuba comes with a command-line interface as well as a graphical frontend to interactively explore scenes. While navigating, a rough preview is shown that becomes increasingly accurate as soon as all movements are stopped. Once a viewpoint has been chosen, a wide range of rendering techniques can be used to generate images, and their parameters can be tuned from within the program.

Lightweight image editor
Nathive is a libre software image editor, similar to Adobe Photoshop, Corel Photo-Paint or The GIMP, but focused on usability, logic and providing a smooth learning curve for everyone. The project run in the Gnome desktop environment and anyone is welcome to collaborate on it with code, translations or ideas. This project is in the alpha phase, so it is an incomplete work, unfit for the end user yet. The intention is to achieve a professional graphic editor progressively without giving up initial usability. Nathive is written from scratch in C using GTK+, and is designed to be simple, lightweight, and easy to install and use.
