pytz brings the Olson tz database into Python. This library allows accurate and
cross platform timezone calculations. It also solves the issue of ambiguous
times at the end of daylight savings, which you can read more about in the
Python Library Reference (datetime.tzinfo).
You can write a setup.py with no version information specified, and

pycount helps you with a simple analysis of Python code, categorizing it into
comments, doc strings, blank lines and real code. It creates simple lines
counts for individual or multiple files, but can also be used to strip
comments from a source file, say. See a sample output of pycount running on
itself in verbose mode.
Python bindings for the D-BUS interprocess messaging system.
PyGObject provides a convenient wrapper for the GObject+ library for use
in Python programs, and takes care of many of the boring details such as
managing memory and type casting. When combined with PyGTK, PyORBit and
gnome-python, it can be used to write full featured Gnome applications.
Pylint is a python tool that checks if a module satisfy a coding
standard. Pylint can be seen as another PyChecker since nearly all
tests you can do with PyChecker can also be done with Pylint. But
Pylint offers some more features, like checking line-code's length,
checking if variable names are well-formed according to your coding
standard, or checking if declared interfaces are truly implemented,
and much more.
