Japanese Morphological Dictionary for ChaSen.
Japana is a small proxy written in Perl. It converts Hiragana, Katakana
and Kanji on the fly into Romaji. The conversion is done using the
kakasi-library for Perl.
Jishyo is an English -> Japanese dictionary. Currently it only supports
English queries. In the future I hope to add support for kana and kanji
queries, as well as multi-radical lookups for kanji. Jishyo is based in
large part on code from Jim Breen's xjdic. It also uses the dictionary
data from the same software.
Kana no quiz is a little educational tool, simple yet
efficient, to memorize the pronunciation of Japanese
kana (hiragana & katakana) in an quick, easy, and
flexible fashion.
This program features several ways and many options to
either teach the complete beginner or test the wizard
skill on kana recognition and pronouncing.
kcode is a handy utility to show codepoint information of given
characters.

Less is a program similar to more(1), but which allows backward
movement in the file as well as forward movement. Also, less does not
have to read the entire input file before starting, so with large
input files it starts up faster than text editors like vi(1).
This enhanced less support ISO 2022 code extension techniqes and
Japanese codes(EUC Japanese, SJIS) and compressed(or gzipped) file
viewing. The author of the patch is jam@pobox.com, and the UTF-8
support patch is written by bogytech.
This is a Perl5 module that defines Microsoft compatible encodings for
Japanese.

Kterm is a xterm replacement with Japanese (Kanji) support. It also
understands ANSI color sequences. This version is 6.2.0, available
from the X11R6 contrib tape.
Also included is support for Xaw3d arrow-style scrollbars and neXtaw
NeXT-style scrollbars. You can now hold down the arrow buttons to
scroll continuously.
And also included kterm background-wallpaper patch.
