From the c-icap homepage:
c-icap is an implementation of an ICAP server. It can be used with HTTP
proxies that support the ICAP protocol to implement content adaptation and
filtering services.
Most of the commercial HTTP proxies must support the ICAP protocol. The open
source Squid 3.x proxy server supports it.
Major features:
basic C API for developing custom content adaptation and filtering services
plugins interface
LDAP integration
simple ICAP client API
Currently the following services have been implemented for the c-icap server:
Web antivirus service, using the clamav open-source antivirus engine
basic URL filtering service
Provides a simple means of reverse-proxying HTTP requests. The raw
approach uses the same technique as leveraged by keter, whereas the WAI
approach performs full request/response parsing via WAI and
http-conduit.
The Apache HTTP Server Project is an effort to develop and maintain an
open-source HTTP server for various modern desktop and server operating
systems, such as UNIX and Windows NT. The goal of this project is to
provide a secure, efficient and extensible server which provides HTTP
services in sync with the current HTTP standards.
The 2.x branch of Apache Web Server includes several improvements like
threading, use of APR, native IPv6 and SSL support, and many more.
JSON::RPC::Dispatcher can make any PSGI/Plack aware server a
JSON-RPC 2.0 server. This will allow you to expose your custom
functionality as a web service in a relatiely tiny amount of
code, as you can see above.
This module follows the draft specficiation for JSON-RPC 2.0.
More information can be found at:
http://groups.google.com/group/json-rpc/web/json-rpc-2-0.
Spook is a Linux server application to capture live video and audio
and stream it over an IP network. Currently, Spook supports capturing
from a Firewire IIDC camera or Video4Linux(2) source and streaming
MPEG4 with RTSP or JPEG stills with HTTP.
Siege is an http regression testing and benchmarking utility. It was
designed to let web developers measure the performance of their code
under duress, to see how it will stand up to load on the internet. It
lets the user hit a web server with a configurable number of
concurrent simulated users.
The w3mir package is an all-purpose HTTP copying and mirroring tool
that can be used to create and maintain a browsable copy of one, or
several, remote WWW site(s). It can retrieve the contents of several
related sites and make them browsable via a local web server or a
filesystem.
