Parse and validate simple name/value option pairs
Hashes are great for storing named data, but if you want more than one entry for a name, you have to use a list of pairs. Even then, this is really boring to write: @values = ( foo => undef, bar => undef, baz => undef, xyz => { ... }, ); With Data::OptList, you can do this instead: Data::OptList::mkopt([ qw(foo bar baz), xyz => { ... }, ]); This works by assuming that any defined scalar is a name and any reference following a name is its value.

devel/Date-Extract-0.05 (Score: 1.6236928E-4)
Extract probable dates from strings
Date::Extract takes an arbitrary block of text, searches it for something that looks like a date string, and builds a DateTime object out of it. By design it will produce few false positives. This means it will not catch nearly everything that looks like a date string. So if you have the string "do homework for class 2019" it won't return a DateTime object with the year set to 2019.

Modern Perl interactive shell
This is an interactive shell for Perl, commonly known as a REPL - Read, Evaluate, Print, Loop. The shell provides for rapid development or testing of code without the need to create a temporary source code file. Through a plugin system, many features are available on demand. You can also tailor the environment through the use of profiles and run control files, for example to pre-load certain Perl modules when working on a particular project.
