Figurine is an X11 program for editing vector graphic figures and
diagrams. It uses the xfig FIG3.2 format.
Figurine is intended to be considerably easier to use than xfig,
but providing a similar set of features.
DynaMechs (Dynamics of Mechanisms)
A Multibody Dynamics Simulation Library
This is a set of cross-platform C++ libraries licensed under the Gnu's GPL
(see LICENSE) which implements dynamic simulation functionality for multibody
systems. It currently supports all tree structured mechanism, a class of
closed chain mechanisms as well. It has provisions for generating both
single and double precision version, and there is code for simplified
hydrodynamic simulation.
This work is an extension of my Ph.D. dissertation, "Computational Dynamics
for Robotic Systems on Land and Underwater," The Ohio State University, 1994,
and continued at the Naval Postgraduate School.
The closed chain work is derived from Duane Marhefka's Ph.D. dissertation,
"Fuzzy Control and Dynamic Simulation of a Quadruped Galloping Machine," The
Ohio State University, 2000.

Fotoxx is a free open source Linux program for photo editing
and collection management. The goal is to meet most user needs
while remaining fast and easy to use.
giflib is a library for reading and writing gif images.
It is API and ABI compatible with libungif which was in wide use
while the LZW compression algorithm was patented
The Liquid Rescale plugin is an implementation of the content-aware
resizing by seam carving algorithm by Shai Avidan and Ariel Shamir.
It aims at resizing pictures non uniformly while preserving the
features of the picture, i.e. avoiding distortion of the important
parts of the picture. It can also be used to remove portions of the
picture in a consistent way.
It works both ways, but enlarging gives better results if done in
successive steps. It can use extra layers as masks to select which
features of the image should be preserved and which should be
discarded.
The plugin works on the active layer or floating selection. If a
selection is present, it is saved to a channel. If the layer has a
transparency mask, an option is given to select the behaviour
(apply/discard).
Gltt is a library that allows you to read and draw TrueType fonts
in any OpenGL application. It supports bitmapped and anti-aliased
font drawing as well as vectorized and polygonized drawing.
Graphite is a package that can be used to create "smart fonts" capable of
displaying writing systems with various complex behaviors, such as:
* contextual shaping
* ligatures
* reordering
* split glyphs
* bidirectionality
* stacking diacritics
* complex positioning
ICC Examin is a small utility (Unix name: iccexamin) for the purpose
of watching the internals of ICC profiles, measurement data (CGATS),
colour samples (named colour profiles), gamut visualisations (vrml),
video card gamma tables (Xorg/XFree86/osX).
IIViewer is an application for X. It allows you to display
pictures in a directory as thumbnails. Selected images can
then be shown in full size. It reads the most common graphic
formats.
ImageViewer is a small application which display images based on the
GNUstep API. In the future I will add image catalogue creation and
other goodies, right now it is what it is, an image viewer application.
