Parole is a modern media player based on the GStreamer framework for the
Xfce desktop.
umph is a command line tool for parsing Youtube playlists. It prints
playlist video links, each separated with a newline, to the standard
output stream, while everything else gets printed to the standard
error stream. umph can be run with a simple interactive prompt to
select the printed video links.
x264 is a free library for encoding H.264/AVC (aka MPEG-4 Part 10)

The Farstream (formerly Farsight) project is an effort to create a framework
to deal with all known audio/video conferencing protocols. On one side it
offers a generic API that makes it possible to write plugins for different
streaming protocols, on the other side it offers an API for clients to use
those plugins.
Freetalk is a console based Jabber client. It features a readline interface
with completion of buddy names, commands, and even ordinary English words.
Freetalk is extensible, configurable, and scriptable through a Guile interface.
Python ICQ-Transport for Jabber.
The purpose of this transport is to provide a way for users to be logged into
ICQ via their Jabber account. It is implemented in Python, using the Twisted
framework. This project is just getting off the ground, and so it does not have
quite the functionality of other transports yet. That will come in time.
