OGMRip is an application and a set of libraries for ripping and encoding DVD
into DivX/OGM files using a wide variety of codecs. It relies on mplayer,
mencoder, ogmtools, oggenc and lame to perform its tasks.
The GUI features a clean HIG-compliant GNOME 2 interface and tries to minimize
as much as possible esoteric settings.
umph is a command line tool for parsing Youtube playlists. It prints
playlist video links, each separated with a newline, to the standard
output stream, while everything else gets printed to the standard
error stream. umph can be run with a simple interactive prompt to
select the printed video links.
Empathy consists of a rich set of reusable instant messaging widgets, and a
GNOME client using those widgets. It uses Telepathy and Nokia's Mission Control,
and reuses Gossip's UI. The main goal is to permit desktop integration by
providing libempathy and libempathy-gtk libraries. libempathy-gtk is a set of
powerful widgets that can be embeded into any GNOME application.
Fugu is a graphical client for the Gale instant messaging system. Its
features include: multiple screens for different subscription lists; a
detachable puff composer window; simple threading facilities for jumping to
the next and previous puff in a thread; searching for the next puff by this
author; clickable URLs; and thumbnail pictures depicting puff senders.
Jarl is a Perl/Tk application that allows one to access a Jabber
account and have full access to the Jabber IM system. It runs on any
platform that supports Perl and Tk, which at this time is most
platforms.
Jarl is going to be a full featured Jabber client that supports 100%
of the features that the Jabber IM offers.
SOAP::Transport::JABBER provides a Jabber-based transport backend for
SOAP::Lite.
This class uses the Net::Jabber classes to abstract the Jabber protocol away
from the direct notice of the application. Besides maintaining any needed
objects internally, the package also uses a separate class as a proxy between
communication layers, SOAP::Transport::JABBER::Query. The Jabber support
provides both client and server classes.
cdpr (Cisco Discovery Protocol Reporter) shows the switch and port that
a machine is connected to, provided that the device supports CDP. It
can also optionally decode the full CDP packet. cdpr was written to
help network/system administrators find out about the equipment that i
a machine is connected to. This is done by capturing and decoding a
Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) packet.
NagiosQL is a web based administration tool for Nagios.
It helps you to easily build a complex configuration with all options,
manage and use them. NagiosQL is based on a webserver with PHP, MySQL and
file access to the Nagios configuration files.
Netmagis is a network management information system,
which allows a network administrator to:
- manage data for your BIND DNS and ISC DHCPD server,
- delegate DNS management,
- automatically generate network maps,
- assign VLAN to equipment interfaces via a Web interface,
- generate traffic graphs.
This is a handy tool for generating terse netmasks in several common
formats. If you've ever maintained a firewall with more than a few rules
in it, you might use netmask to clean up and generalize sloppy rules left by
the netadmin before you. It will also convert netmasks from one format
to another for the day you change your firewall software.
