Subclassable and hostless URIs

This class provides support for database URIs. They're inspired by JDBC URIs and PostgreSQL URIs, though they're a bit more formal.

This package contains the URI.pm module with friends. The module implements the URI class. Objects of this class represent Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) references as specified in RFC 2396 and updated by RFC 2732. Release 1.50 includes the initial attempt at providing support to IRIs. URI objects now support the 'as_iri' and 'ihost' methods. URI objects can be used to access and manipulate the various components that make up these strings. There are also methods to combine URIs in various ways. The URI class replaces the URI::URL class that used to be distributed with libwww-perl. This package contains an emulation of the old URI::URL interface. The emulated URI::URL implements both the old and the new interface.

This is an interface to Amazon AWS API. It was written provide access to the new tag and metadata interface that is not currently supported by Net::Amazon::EC2, as well as to provide developers with an extension mechanism for the API. This library will also support the Open Stack open source cloud. The main interface is the VM::EC2 object, which provides methods for interrogating the Amazon EC2, launching instances, and managing instance lifecycle. These methods return major object classes which act as specialized interfaces to AWS.

Validate::Net is a class designed to assist with validation internet related strings. It can be used to validate CGI forms, internally by modules, and in any place where you want to check that an internet related string is valid before handing it off to a Net::* class. Whenever a test is false, you can access the reason through the reason method.

passlogd is a purpose-built sniffer for capturing syslog messages in transit. This allows for backup logging to be performed on a machine with no open ports.

DoSDetector analyzes and detects suspicious IP traffic and alerts about it. It can detect worm traffic, SYN flood, ICMP flood, UDP flood attacks and more. It's configurable via a rule set; when an IP exceeds the score limit, DoSDetector prints a warning.

PEAR::Auth_RADIUS provides wrapper-classes for the RADIUS PECL. There are different Classes for the different authentication methods. If you are using CHAP-MD5 or MS-CHAP you need also the Crypt_CHAP package. If you are using MS-CHAP you need also the mhash and mcrypt extension.
