VapourSynth is an application for video manipulation. Or a plugin. Or
a library. It's hard to tell because it has a core library written in
C++ and a Python module to allow video scripts to be created. It came
to be when I started thinking about alternative designs for Avisynth
and most of it was written over a 3 month period.
The software has been heavily inspired by Avisynth and aims to be a 21st
century rewrite, taking advantage of the advancements computers have
made since the late 90s. The main features compared to Avisynth are:
* Multithreaded - Frame level multithreading that scales well
* Generalized Colorspaces - New colorspaces can be specified at runtime
* Per Frame Properties - Additional metadata can be attached to frames
* Python Based - The scripting part is implemented as a Python module so you
don't have to learn a special language
* Support for video with format changes - Some video just can't stick to one
format or frame size. VapourSynth can handle any kind of change
* Compatible with a large number of already existing Avisynth plugins
XMMS --- X Multimedia System. XMMS is a multimedia player based on the look of
Winamp. Currently it plays mpeg layer 1/2/3, wav, au, CD audio, etc.
CenterIM is a fork of CenterICQ.
CenterIM is a text mode menu- and window-driven IM interface that supports the
ICQ2000, Yahoo!, MSN, AIM, Gadu-Gadu and IRC protocols as well as posting to
LiveJournal aggregating RSS feeds.
It allows you to send, receive, and forward messages, URLs, SMSes, contacts,
and email express messages. It also lets you set your own and fetch others'
away messages, and define external handlers for incoming events. You can mass
message-send, search for users, view users' details, maintain your contact
list directly from the program, view the message history, register a new UIN
and update your details, be informed upon receipt of email messages,
automatically set away after the defined period of inactivity, and have your
own ignore, visible, and invisible lists. It can also associate events with
sounds, make log of events, and allows arrangement of contacts into groups.
WARNING: This is the development version of centerim. There's no proof that
it will build and/or run properly on your system. But we will be happy to
get some feedback if you experience any problems.
For testing purposes, all available protocols are enabled in this port.
If you don't agree to these facts, you should probable use net-im/centerim
release version.

to find more users helping with contributing bug reports, suggestions,
feedback and code.

emesene is an instant messenger capable of connecting to various
networks and utilizing different graphical toolkits. Currently msn and

Finch is a multi-protocol instant messaging client. It is compatible with AIM
(Oscar and TOC protocols), ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu,
and Zephyr networks.
Finch users can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks
simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AOL
Instant Messenger, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an
IRC channel all at the same time.
Finch supports many features of the various networks, such as file transfer
(coming soon), away messages, typing notification, and MSN window closing
notification. It also goes beyond that and provides many unique features. A
few popular features are Buddy Pounces, which give the ability to notify you,
send a message, play a sound, or run a program when a specific buddy goes away,
signs online, or returns from idle; and plugins, consisting of text
replacement, a buddy ticker, extended message notification, iconify on away,
and more.
