This is a Squeezebox Server plugin screensaver datetime replacement.
Graphically displays current weather conditions and forecasts. Will
also optionally display stock quotes and upcoming/active game
information for MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, and college football and
basketball teams at user-configurable intervals.
XMMS input plugin for SPC format support.
xmms-shn provides playback support for shorten (.shn) files in XMMS.
Real-time seeking support is provided for .shn files that have
accompanying seek tables generated by shorten 3.x.
A plugin that enables XMMS to use the media-control keys on many
keyboards to control XMMS playback and volume.
Bonnie++ is a benchmark suite that is aimed at performing a number of
simple tests of hard drive and file system performance. Then you can
decide which test is important and decide how to compare different
systems after running it. I have no plans to ever have it produce a
single number, because I don't think that a single number can be useful
when comparing such things.
The main program tests database type access to a single file (or a set
of files if you wish to test more than 1G of storage), and it tests
creation, reading, and deleting of small files which can simulate the
usage of programs such as Squid, INN, or Maildir format email.
HPL is a software package that solves a (random) dense linear system in double
precision (64 bits) arithmetic on distributed-memory computers. It can thus be
regarded as aportable as well as freely available implementation of the High
Performance Computing Linpack Benchmark.
The algorithm used by HPL can be summarized by the following keywords:
Two-dimensional block-cyclic data distribution - Right-looking variant of the
LU factorization with row partial pivoting featuring multiple look-ahead
depths - Recursive panel factorization with pivot search and column broadcast
combined - Various virtual panel broadcast topologies - bandwidth reducing
swap-broadcast algorithm - backward substitution with look-ahead of depth 1.
The HPL package provides a testing and timing program to quantify the accuracy
of the obtained solution as well as the time it took to compute it. The best
performance achievable by this software on your system depends on a large
variety of factors. Nonetheless, with some restrictive assumptions on the
interconnection network, the algorithm described here and its attached
implementation are scalable in the sense that their parallel efficiency is
maintained constant with respect to the per processor memory usage.
pathChirp is a new active probing tool for estimating the available bandwidth
on a communication network path. Based on the concept of "self-induced
congestion", pathChirp features an exponential flight pattern of probes we
call a chirp. Packet chirps offer several significant advantages over current
probing schemes based on packet pairs or packet trains. By rapidly increasing
the probing rate within each chirp, pathChirp obtains a rich set of
information from which to dynamically estimate the available bandwidth.
The Phoronix Test Suite is the most comprehensive testing and benchmarking
platform available for the *nix operating system. This software is designed
to effectively carry out both qualitative and quantitative benchmarks in a
clean, reproducible, and easy-to-use manner.
Postal is a SMTP benchmark.
Postal-list will list all the possible expansions for an account name
(used for creating a list of accounts to create on your test server).
Rabid is the mad Biff, it is a POP benchmark.
Randomio is a multithreaded disk i/o microbenchmark. It
requires O_DIRECT, pread/pwrite, and pthreads.
