WaoN is a Wave-to-Notes transcriber (converts audio file into midi file)
and some utility tools such as gWaoN, graphical visualization of the
spectra, and phase vocoder for time-stretching and pitch-shifting.
WildMIDI is a simple software midi player which has a core softsynth library
that can be used with other applications.
The WildMIDI library uses Gravis Ultrasound patch files to convert MIDI files
into audio which is them passed back to the calling application for further
processing or output. The API of the library is designed so that it is easy to
include WildMIDI into applications that wish to include MIDI file playback.
With multiple MIDI file support you can develop applications to mix several
midi files together at the same time and with the next release you will be
able to use a different patch set for each MIDI file.
The wildmidi player is a demonstration program to show the capabilities of
libWildMidi.
XCdplayer is a graphical user interface for controlling the CD-ROM
drive under the X Window System. It provides visual feedback and
gives the user facilities for mode selection, device control,
scanning, and programming.
Xhippo is a Generic music player for Unix. Written in GTK, it has optional
GNOME support.
It supports all types of files, defaults including mp3, midi, wav, etc.
More can be added via the configuration file using external players

Super Smack is a benchmarking, stress testing, and load generation tool
for MySQL (and PostgreSQL). Super Smack was originally written by Sasha
Pachev, and then hosted and maintained by Jeremy Zawodny.
BCFtools is a set of utilities that manipulate variant calls in the
Variant Call Format (VCF) and its binary counterpart BCF. All
commands work transparently with both VCFs and BCFs, both
uncompressed and BGZF-compressed.
Bowtie is an ultrafast, memory-efficient short read aligner. It aligns short
DNA sequences (reads) to the human genome at a rate of over 25 million 35-bp
reads per hour.
