Data Explorer brings together dynamic computational
and rendering tools in a dynamic, programmable framework that enables
users to rapidly create visualizations of highly complex data from
disparate sources.
Data Explorer can be used to add visualization capabilities to
existing applications. It is used by companies and institutions for
applications in a large variety of visualization fields including
computational fluid dynamics, medical imagery, computational
chemistry, and engineering analysis. For example, it is currently
being used to:
* Identify and manage portfolio risk worldwide for a large
multinational banking group.
* Depict oil-flow simulations to improve drilling success-rates and
increase reservoir yields.
* Piece together over 5,000 ceiling fragments from a 1,200-year-old
temple in Peru.
* Help insurance agents identify opportunities to cross-sell product
offerings.
* Visualize developing weather patterns to improve the accuracy of
weather forecasts.
The Open Scene Graph is a cross-platform C++ OpenGL library for the
real-time, photo-realistic rendering of large 3D models. Uses range from
visual simulation, to scientific modelling, to games, to whatever you can
think of!
This modules provides an interface to layout and generate images of
directed graphs in a variety of formats (PostScript, PNG, etc.) using
the "dot" and "neato" programs from the GraphViz project
(http://www.graphviz.org/).
Graphics::Primitive is library agnostic system for drawing things.
The idea is to allow you to create and manipulate graphical components and
then pass them off to a Driver for actual drawing.
Imager::Graph is intended to produce good looking graphs with a
minimum effort on the part of the user.
Currently only the pie graph class, Imager::Graph::Pie, is provided.
Picpuz is a free Linux "jigsaw puzzle" program.
You can take almost any image (jpeg, tiff, png ...)
and scramble it into many pieces (tens to hundreds).
You can then reassemble the picture using the mouse to move the pieces around.
PikoPixel is a free application for drawing & editing pixel-art images, originally for Mac OS X.
It supports multiple layers, customizable canvas background, hotkey-activated
popup panels, and can export upscaled images.
Pinpoint a simple presentation tool that hopes to avoid audience death
by bullet point and instead encourage presentations containing beautiful
images and small amounts of concise text in slides.
This is a simple library to load images of various formats as SDL surfaces.
This library supports BMP, PPM, PCX, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TGA, and TIFF formats.
(Linux version)
Impressive is a program that displays PDF presentation slides with style.
Smooth alpha-blended slide transitions are provided for the sake of eye
candy, but in addition to this, Impressive offers some unique tools that
are very useful for presentations.
